Long time no see
Behind-the-scenes of Aiverse, BLACKFRIDAY SALE, and more..
Hello from the beyond! This is Voyager, the only designers-aboard spaceflight navigating you through the AI-UX universe.
Today it’s a lil different; a lil personal, a lil futuristic, a lil bit of everything.
🪑 The “talk”
🧑🚀 Voyager is no more?!
🤣 Memes of the day
To the all new subscribers, thank you for joining. Got a stack of insights I’m ready to share, but today’s not that.
Hey, we need to talk...
pulls up a chair… (and no, this isn't one of those talks)
First - let me address the elephant in the inbox. I disappeared.
You trusted me with something precious - your email address. The VIP pass to your digital life. And I... well, I ghosted you like that friend who says "let's grab coffee soon" and then vanishes into the void.
But unlike your ex, I'm back with receipts. Here's what REALLY happened:
1/ The Big Leap
I quit my cushy day job. Why? Because AI x Design isn't just trending - it's the future. And your boy decided to go ALL IN 🫡
2/ The Book Baby
Remember that AI-UX Patterns ebook I blabbed about? It's kicking! Some of those mentioned trends are becoming mainstream, many are still future-proof and one of them is dead - much like the Rabbit R1..?
Psst.. you can get the ebook today at a heavy discount! While it’s not a “consumer” product, but if price was a factor stopping you from buying, it shall be no more. Get it now, sale ends in 72 hours.
3/ The Power Lunch
Had a sit-down with Faculty.ai's CPO, walk with JPMorgan’s AI Design Lead and a brainstorming-sesh with my co-founder for an exciting new design tool! (mental note: save the spicy details for later)
4/ The Professor Mode
Gave a talk at UPenn about the emerging AIxDesign trends. (Sneak peek of the slides below)
5/ The NY Chronicles
My first time in New York!
Experienced that famous homelessness creative vibe everyone talks about. Even attended an AI-founder social (yes i got goss).
5/ The Great Escape
(Last) Plot twist - I left London.
Not with a backpack. With TWO WHOLE SUITCASES. Like a nomad who couldn't decide what to leave behind.
Is it unstable? You bet. Uncomfortable? Like wearing jeans to bed.
But here's the thing about discomfort - it's where the magic happens. And that's the point, right? Growing. Rebuilding.
The good news? I'm back online. Writing regularly. Ready to share this crazy journey and all my marinated AIxDesign thoughts with you.
That’s all of it. Do I get the “you’re excused” pass now?
A heads up, it’s a chill kinda newsletter today because I’m a chill guy.

☕️ Coffee chat w/ CPO of an AI-first company
Notes from the coffee chat
Everyone in the AI space looks at the future differently. My goal is learn about all the different perspectives and share them with you all (DM me if you’d like to share your POV)
I was surprised by how much of an overlap there was in our thoughts of the AI-UX future. As a Head of Product for AI DevOps at Amazon, and now a Chief Product Officer at Faculty.ai, Jacob is a strong believer of agentive UX and using data without any UX. If you look closely, the left page of the notebook illustrated the present vs future.
Present: Apps use “agents” to carry out instruction from the users. The users use a “mesh”, the overarching layer across agents & apps, as it is the primary user experience.
Future: Users directly control and manage the agents. The user experience is the relationship itself, managing little robots and directing it by asking questions. It’s almost as though the future of AI-UX is interface-less, with a focus on crafting a service, not a software.
Wild and we can already see that happening. Each role is now an AI startup.
Fun fact: He bought the ‘Trending AI-UX Patterns’ ebook. What did he think?

🧧 Black Friday sale: 25% off the AI-UX ebook
It’s national Day of Consumerism, and so in the honour, I’m offering you all 25% off for the next 72 hours! Normally it’s $49, actually worth $99, now it’s $36. This is the first time I’ve offered a discount; premium content doesn’t follow consumerism. Trying it out though, if you’ve been looking to buy, now is the time.
If you’re in the group “chatbots are old school” I recently *LEAKED* a couple pages of how to AI-ify your product without adding a chatbot. It’s has 7 unique ways of adding AI to your product, used by some great products.
That’s just 7 of all the AI UX patterns. Get ALL of them today, at a steal.

You can find the same content in the ebook as well, as you may have guessed it already.
Before talking about the future of Voyager, here’s a glimpse of NYC.
🗽 New York through my lens
I loved the city. It was energetic, lively and bustlin’. Here are some captures from my camera:
Voyager is no more?!
Yes and no.
Yes, the name “Voyager” and visual brand is no more.
No, the newsletter is still there, alive and growing.
Rebranding this newsletter as “Insights by AIverse”, making it super clear what it’s going to be about - insights into AIxDesign.
It’ll be catered to all innovators — founders, designers and product teams. All the leaders looking to get ahead in the game.
So yeah, no more “Voyager”.
AIverse.design, the website, will be updated more regularly. It’s a collection of 150 AI-UX interactions so far, more are coming.
I’m looking for AIxDesign researchers & writers. If you’re interested in sharing your insights, hit me up (or reply to this email).
If you have strong opinions on the future of AIxDesign, I’d love to interview you and your process. DM me (or reply to this email).
Updates to Aiverse —
If you haven’t opened aiverse.design for some time, you’re in for a *good* surprise.
It’s been re-branded. More soothing with a focus on hand-curated aesthetic.
There’s an Insights section. All illustrations are generated by AI (yes I cracked consistent branding) and each article is a value addition to your professional life.
If you’re wondering how other designers are using AI in their work, especially for branding, I recently compiled a list of some *beaut* use cases —
