24 trending AI-UX patterns — it's here!

It's pure gold extracted into a newsletter - you don't wanna miss this.

Hello from the beyond! This is Voyager, the only designers-aboard spaceflight navigating you through the AI-UX universe.

We hold your hand and look both ways while you cross the streets of AIxDesign.

Today is different, it’s special.

There’s no overview, there’s no agenda for this meeting, there’s only one thing. It’s hot, it’s trending, it’s something you probably wouldn’t want to miss.

Quick back story —

I launched aiverse exactly 1 year ago, as a collection of AI-UX interactions that I needed for my own work. From pasting screenshots in Figma, to making it all filter-able on a website — we’re not at 136 interactions, as of today. Crazy.

Over this time, I started seeing the same trends, the same patterns emerging. At this point, I can tell what all components a new “sparkle” icon feature will have. With the emergence of AI into design, the parameters of designing have changed. We’re not just designing screens, we’re designing experiences. We don’t want “best patterns to design a list”, we want to proactively solve user’s need, without them even needing the list.

I talked about this in the last issue, Agentive UX - a macro trend I’m bullish on.

But here’s the thing. This is just one of 7 macros trends I’ve identified.

Each trend is a glimpse into the future, and not every trend is the right for you / your product. Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, these 7 are the ones which have been used in one way or the other.

I started collecting examples of each.

It started as a weekend project, something I wanted to share on this “weekly” newsletter.

It’s been almost 2 months since - and now, it’s launch time!
